With the Forest Ops Special Event ending next week it may be a while before we see the Data Fragments for the Tognath Marksman (TOG) appear as a Conflict Prize.
I recently on my Primary Base was able to upgrade my TOG to Level 3, and I use TOGs as mostly SC Donation Units. This has lead me to once again look at the differences between the TOG and the similar Units (Rebel Sharpshooter / Empire Sniper Trooper) to help Players better evaluate if using the TOG is best for them.
The following answers the general question using the SWC Wiki Info:
- One TOG is EQUAL TO how many Rebel Sharpshooter and/or Empire Sniper Trooper?

ANALYSIS
- When comparing Hiring / Training Times it is clear that for Levels 1 to 7 that one TOG takes on average 6.71 times longer than the one Rebel Sharpshooter and on average 2.52 times longer than for one Sniper Trooper. For Levels 8 to 10 the times mostly even out where one TOG takes on average 2.44 times longer than the one Rebel Sharpshooter and on average 2.79 times longer than for one Sniper Trooper.
- When comparing Base Damage it is clear that for all Levels that 1 TOG does almost as much damage as 2 of the similar units with one TOG on average doing 1.36 times more damage than Rebel Sharpshooter and doing on average 1.56 times more damage than Empire Sniper Trooper.
- When comparing Base Damage - by extrapolation - it is also clear that for 3 Tognath Marksman you get the SAME DAMAGE as 4 Rebel Sharpshooters and 4.6 Empire Sniper Troopers.
- When comparing Unit Health it is clear that for all Levels that on average 1 TOG has as much health as 2 of the similar units with one TOG on average having 1.93 times more health than Rebel Sharpshooter and having on average 2.20 times more health than Empire Sniper Trooper.
- When looking at the data overall it is clear that on average 1 TOG is equal (mostly) to 2 of the similar units.
- When considering Unit Capacity the use of one TOG results in a UC Savings of 9 (2 times 8 minus 7) for Rebel Faction and a UC Savings of 7 (2 times 7 minus 7) for Empire Faction.
BOTTOM LINE
It is clear that one Tognath Marksman is on average equal to two Rebel Sharpshooters and/or Empire Sniper Troopers.
The UC Savings (shown in Analysis #6 above) clearly shows that the Tognath Marksman is a good choice for those whom want to use Snipers in their Squad Center as you can pack more defensive firepower with less UC used.
I hope this information is helpful to someone...
