How to 3 Star Chapter 9 - Mission X-XII (10-12)

I agree with the Chango and Laurion.

I have tried and failed literally dozens of times on this mission, latterly with a L7 Han.
Once the medics get picked off it's all downhill from there.

Also, I suspect the AI for the sharpshooters has changed too, since the posting of the solutions earlier in this thread. If you place the sharps with the purpose of taking out the AT-DP, they seem to ignore it in favour of other targets. Without being able to take down the AT-DP this mission appears to be impossible.

Update on my last post, and a retraction of my claim that this level is impossible.
Someone posted a solution on the playdom forum which works (took me 3 attempts.)

Essentially, you sacrifice 4 soldiers to draw out all the stormtroopers throughout the base, then use a hero to attract them to one of the entrances so you can wipe them all out with the strix. Leia and sharps can then deal with the walker fairly easily.

Hey, suspect this is a little late for dharkus but came across this thread for the same reason as many previous posters.... could I 3 star this, no!

But I did and wanted to share it in case anyone else gets stuck on this.

I tried:

1. Dropping chewie and leia on the west side of the map
After finding a youtube video demonstrating this method, I attempted to get the 3 stars but the hero ATST would usually ruin things and I'd not get past 80%.
The turrets also like to target medic droids so these get killed off quickly, leaving your units hopelessly overwhelmed.
2. Luring out all troops and using the strix to take them out
I tried various methods of bringing all the troops out and then luring them to a spot where I could take them out with a shot from the Strix but I either found the enemy troops wouldn't stay still long enough or I'd loose too many of my own trying to keep them there.
3. Luring just the hero AT ST and killing that!
This took a few gos but eventually I nailed it.
Drop one of the soldiers near the HQ to bring out both sets of troops and the hero. Then, when the soldier dies, drop a medic droid in the top left corner. Just as the hero gets close, drop Leia, the sharp shooters. Use the strix to take out the hero and the storm troopers. Whilst that's going on, drop chewie at the top of the map and he'll take care of the top 2 turrets and maybe more. Leia and the sharps will starting wondering off looking for more infantry so keep an eye on Leia's health, you'll probably have lost your bait droid as the hero doesn't seem to retarget. You should have a spare droid to keep her going. Drop the remaining soldiers as you need and drop Han and a medic droid on the bottom to take out the south and south eastern turrets.
Sit back and watch your forces be victorious!!!

There's no way to do it, I think. Even SFOne suggestion seems poor, because all enemies go against the medic. If you must use the second medic, after that you are exposed...

Well it worked for me!

It definitely works.

Drop a trooper next to the barracks South-West and near the HQ North-East.
This should draw out 90% of the troops in the base.

Once they are both dead (should take 1-2 sec) drop a Med Droid in the far north corner.
the first set of Stormtroopers and the Hero will head that way.
When they get clear of the wall (and not yet within range to hit the med droid) use the Strix to wipe out most of those stormtroopers (and damage the hero).
Then drop Leia just in front of the med droids, a second Med droid (so it targets Leia), all of the sharps back up in the corner, and the final med droid (so it targets the sharps).

They will wipe out the remaining troops without issue.

I then dropped the remaining 6 troopers to support Leia (and soak up turret fire when Leia gets close) and dropped Han and Chewie on one of the gates to do their thing, and they took out about 4 turrets before dying.

The key for this is that the Sharpshooters (backed by a med droid) have sufficient range that they can take out the turrets, but the droids are too far back for the turrets to reach them.

Had plenty of time to spare
