Fairly sure the 'giant rancor' was just the Rage rancor in the last conflict?

Either way........... grinding for frags to get a bang average unit up to level 2-3 sounds like a waste of my life force.

I'm out.

Got fooled by that small print last time: expected fragments and received samples. If that is true again I can skip this one

I might grind that one to get Rage Rancors for my accounts that do not have it but otherwise an uninteresting conflict.

After the let down of TROS conflicts / events (carzy horse part deux), I do hope that this information is accurate: I do enjoy grinding for Dragon and Rancor frags. Although creatures are not a game changer, they still serve their purpose on offense (clean up those pesky corner buildings) and are somewhat useful for HD (it is fun to watch a Krayt Dragon run roughshod over poor Rebel infantry)!

However, if this info is indeed true, who keeps leaking it? The Orbak was leaked prior to the first event, and now this? Saw was right, there are spies everywhere :)

I hope it's true, I want a game break after this Horses & Droids overdose, and since I won't play conflict with my two Prestige anymore unless it's for SMTTs or Trucks (maybe, maybe) and I won't play for samples with any of my baby bases, it will be two weeks of well deserved vacation.

Honestly, I don't even waste time resetting Strix to be destroyed on the first attack or first HD, and level 1 is useless and upgrading to some useful level will take years if they are available in conflicts only once a year. If at least when they die they could fall over the near troops and crush them, they will do something useful.

Imperial HQ 11 & Rebel HQ 11 on vacation. Currently in "Giveandgettroops" (Level 50 Imperial Squad) and "SevenOfNine2" Level 50 Rebel Squad -- training squads, everyone is welcome!

These things are the most useless units in the game. Even those teddy things on HDs wipe my Krayt in one. The others are all to slow.

One good use is to drop them on the last flagpole to make 100% as the clock is running out, if your troops can’t make it across the field in time for the last flagpole/droid hut/beacon/scout tower.

You can also use them to distract the opponent’s rancor from attacking your other troops. Having one active draws the opponent’s rancor into a territorial boxing match due to target priority. If you put yours far enough away, the opponent’s rancor spends most of the clock walking across the field to yours instead of destroying your troops.

But once unlocked, upgrades really don’t seem to be necessary. They are not usually active long enough to do much more.
