Thats the burst score Reb vs. Imperial:

Empire bursts have a damage x shoot of 1508 and fire 8 shoots sequence x
clip resulting into a 12065 overall damage while
The rebel bursts have a damage x shoot of
1597 while fires only 6 shoots x clip resulting into a 9582 overall damage.
That's a difference or 2483 lower damage , 21.4% less output damage then
empire counterpart.
That value become even higher applying the armory boost of +147% resulting
into a 6110 extra damage from empire Bursts.

Your math is off.
You need to consider clip time.
For rebel burst, each clip is 3.675s (shorter) compared to 4.175s clip time for IMP burst.
Taking clip time into account, rebel burst damage per second (DPS) is 2607 compared to 2889 for IMP burst.
The IMP burst advantage is 10.8%. That's it.

...but sonics and bursts are brother in arms and if the sonics did their shot and bursts clear the field, what do you think, what is more powerful the damage per second or the overall damage per clip ?

This hot fix doesnt seem to apply to forest jumps. Snow jumps seem way more OP than forest ones.
