For those that can't see it, can you use a VPN and set it to the US?

CONTROVERSY: Do Mandalorians Take Off Their Mask?

We are told that a Mandalorian, as the The Mandalorian show goes on to reveal, never removes his mask.

:!: BUT THIS go against what is supposily "canon" as revealed in the Animated Show - Star Wars Rebels - in which one of the main characters was a young Mandalorian woman by the name of Sabine Wren, and she regularly walked around without a helmet. In fact, while most of the Mandalorians who appeared on the Star Wars Rebels series had full armor, most of them also removed the helmet when not in a combat situation.

 The final season of Rebels -- which began with a two-part episode actually set on Mandalore and packed with helmet-free Mandalorians -- was set less than ten years in-universe before the beginning of The Mandalorian. Did The Mandalorian, in one fell swoop, contradict four seasons of Sabine walking around without her helmet?

:?: Is this a sign that something happened between the Mandalore two-parter of Rebels -- which seemingly revealed why there were no Mandalorians in the original trilogy -- to make the surviving Mandalorians cling to what remained of their culture?

I think The Mandalorian was born from the ashes of the canceled Boba Fett movie, with pre-production resources, and if it gets an audience, the series will probably gain more characters and details. Rebels's beginnings were a bit faltering, but with creativity, it became an excellent source for the Star Wars universe.

At some point in the episode, someone asks if it is true that they never remove the helmet. Filoni doesn't kid in service when it comes to a canon because he knows fans will fall on him if he makes a mistake.

When the character enters the shrine or whatever, even the children are wearing helmets, and the steel bar is said to have been collected at the great Purge. In addition there is a figure in the background that everyone is thinking is who you know.

And if Oberyn had been wearing a helmet, he might have survived the fight with the Mountain. Keep the helmet this time, buddy, just in case.

Tomorrow has more! :D

from the ashes of the cancelled movie - that actually makes 110% sense, otherwise, this production would have been too expensive for 'regular' TV

Notes and Observations

- Getting froze in carbonite would really...really suck.
- IG-11 was pretty much a bad ass. The bot's massive firepower and targeting capabilities were on full display and were very cool. HEY DEVS how about retooling our IG bot with some of those capabilities...hahaha never happen.
-Saw some cool creatures. Always love the beasties in the Star Wars universe.
- With all the tech in the Star Wars Universe characters still have to occasionally saddle up ….YEEEHAW!
- First episode ended very cool as well. It will be interesting what evolves from this bounty..

Excellent take! I love the mix of Rogue 1 style music, Samurai Jack, OT homage like dead Salcious Crumb.

Read some reviews on the show. Was talk about mandalorians not removing helmets. So got to watch first episode. Never removed helmet. Got really thirsty when he walked into cantina and dint take of his helmet. TAKE OF UR HELMET I'M THIRSTY HERE!!.. but in my opinion great start to hopefully an epic show .

Saw the first episode. It was just okay for me.
Seems to me that the main character was trying to act cool (rather than just being naturally cool). I know I know, movie is all about acting, but the best part about acting is that the audience don't even know that it's acting.
I'd give it 7/10.
