Useless Units either side conversation.

I did a search for similar threads found nothing specific to this.


So for Empire, whats everyone using the ATDP for where it actually makes a difference? When the Lin came out we nick named it the Roomba, useless #2 then we were handed the turd slicer, turret slicer, which is as entertaining as the SDK and meth pony. I cannot find a reason to use any of these mentioned in my loadouts. I do use the SDK for heroics, which is fun to watch.

What unit do you think is the worst unit of the game?

Fun challenge is to try to get your starship pilot to remain alive for the entire attack. Must deploy with shocks.

ATTE, Bufopel... things that target units, but are useless against guard reserve. Demolition droid, ATDT, and turret slicer are givens.

it would be great if they created a new structure to enhance the units that don't work, like a laboratory,
example to the pony that you can add a shield.

Or enable the buildings and currency in the Hq that is already there. If they did remove mega loot on dev bases, it would be nice to be able to store war wins and loot in our HQ's if we choose for upgrades. The developers are just unable to get creative at Zynga, I keep faith, but it is dwindling fast.

Lol SDK4 is seriously frikin good in wars. It cuts down more turrets than vader at prestige plus those spiderlings actually tank and kite for it. It's great.

OT most useless POS ATDP, ATDT, Dowutin Hunter... why wait 10 mins for one when you can cook a tank in 2.30mins that spawns 4 of them...that ATMP thing is truly as useful as a dick flavoured lollipop.

There are 4 Sides to this Conversation...

  1. Some Units are VERY GOOD at Lower Levels (HQ 1 thru HQ 6).
  2. Some Units, while good at Lower Levels, are VERY BAD at Upper Levels (HQ 7 thru Prestige).
  3. Some Units are VERY GOOD doing PvP.
  4. Some Units, while good in PvP, are VERY BAD in War.
AND SO... in choosing the "Most Useless Unit(s)" I would say a Unit that is VERY BAD at all Levels (HQ 1 thru Prestige), whether or not in PvP or War should be considered.

THAT SAID... I nominate:

  1. Rebel Hero - R2-D2 (Unbuffed)
  2. Rebel Infantry - Demolition Droid
  3. Rebel Vehicle - AT-AP Walker
  4. Rebel Starship Strike - Low Altitude Assault Transport ** Worst of all Starship Strikes.
  5. Mercenary - A-LT "Turret Slicer"
Some may disagree with me, but those are my choices for "Most Useless Unit(s)".

Fathiers caused me all sorts of grief yesterday. Couldnt pop the SC and 2 came flying out. They are just too fast to bomb and hit and run fast so that your troops dont have time to target them. Reducing their uc made them a great defensive unit for war, though still not great for offense.
Also the other day I tried one in offense and found out they target traps. So as soon as I deployed it it ran over to trigger 2 traps and half died before it had done anything useful.

Deathstriker is right though. Some unit great at lower levels and rubbish at higher levels.
Overall i would say the most useless unit of the game is Ondigae Oppressor. Troops with target other troops but have melee range is completely pointless. I havent yet found a use for this unit.
At least with the LIN you can use it as bait as it takes so long to destroy a building and move on.

ok, on the other extreme, high level troop transports are just bonkers on attacks, yes?

I don't have them, other than a few samples, I didn't spend enough time on that conflict (kicks self). Nor enough meth.
