Re: ls lt Worthy To Upgrade Kubaz/lthorin?

I love Kubaz/Ithorian, they are the best units in the game:

they destroy shield generators for only 3 UC;
trigger traps, dekas and SC on the way to shields (to me that's an advantage);
distract turrets;
they are looters;
they are very fast units;

Since I unlocked Kubaz/Ithorian for any of my bases, I preferably attack bases with gaps in the walls, or holes near the shields where I can deploy them to access the shields as quickly as possible.

I have always been hesitant to upgrade Kubaz/Ithorian. But with the upgrade they will do more damage, and destroy a shield with a single wave of fire and move to another shield and destroy it as well -- a Level 1 can die before finish destroy a shield. Sometimes I am surprised when I attack bases with two close shields, and I only need 2 Itho/Kubaz to destroy the 4 shields - a Prestige base trend with range 7 shields is to place them as close as possible and well into the base to avoid shield busters.

Increased health allows him to survive to reach and destroy a farther shield even after losing the protective shield.

All my bases, I keep a barrack only to train Kubaz/Ithorians, and put 1 to train in the other barracks ahead of the jets/jumps to have at least 4 in my loadout. Is the only unit I use crystals to have at least 4 ready to attack. Improving or not depends on the level of my rivals. But never upgrade them to Prestige due to crystals cost.

I have frags to level them up, but I keep them at level 5 for my two Prestige, HQ 9, HQ 8, but Level 4 for my Imperial HQ 6. The only base I have this unit level 1 is my Rebel HQ 6, so I plan to work on this event to have it at level 4 at least.

That's a long long cooking time, but the big problem is the crystal cost for Prestige, as I said they are the only unit I use crystals to get them ready for instant attacks.

L5 is likely good enough for most cases, but I got mine to L10.

I hate it when I lost a battle because kubaz failed to take down the shield and the whole attack plan was totally messed up, so being paranoid I upgraded mine to L10.

+1000

I think that Level 10 Ithorian / Kubaz is the best "Level" as Prestige Level adds 28s to cook time for each and only adds a small amount of Health / Damage.

:arrow: NOTE: Both the Ithorian Infiltrator and Kubaz Invader have the same Stats.

They are of great advantage to me as well. I sometimes find bases that the 4 shields can go down really easily by only 2 kubaz. Sometimes I also use some Interceptors air to break some walls and create a hole for them, this is the only reason why I still use them in my regular air loadout.

Level 4 is the sweet spot for me. I have enough frags to raise it to level 6 but won't because of the increase in cook time and that it works well enough as is for my style and load of attack. It really does come down to personal preference imho so there's no right or wrong answer.

Actually you hit upon the right answer. It depends on how you use it, and your attack style. If you don't need the extra health and damage, then don't upgrade, and save the cook time. If you do utilize the extra health and damage, and don't worry about cook time, then upgrade. It's when you want the extra health and damage, but don't want the added cook time, that there's a delimma. At the end of the day, each player has their own sweet spot for specialists.
