Devs Bases INSPIRED by Human Bases...?

I just made an interesting attack on a dev base that kind of proves to me it must be based on an human base...

It is odd because they are mostly "squarish" and unimaginative so i assumed it was either some automatic design tool or a set of "modules" with random assembly...

However...the base i attacked had the letters FU on one corner...
Either it was a human design...or some dev has an odd (and possibly employment endangering) sense of humour ;)

Just curious on other players experience...and opinion...

I think at least some of the dev bases are copys of real bases.

I think some old bases after they expire or whatever become Dev bases.

I think it ironic that Bases created by the Developers (as Players) and no longer used may be a "Dev Base"! :lol:

Most dev bases are based on player bases. There are only some that are created by devs. Most of them are based on actual player bases. I have come across one of my own base (imp base while playing as rebel, mini) multiple times. I usually get a lower lvl version of it. (lvl 7 version against lvl 5) as compared to the actual lvl.

There used to be one dev base that said "Fuck You Imps" with the walls right in the middle of the base. It was kind of hard to read at first, lol. But, the new prestige dev bases are clearly created. They appeared the day Prestige came out in all shapes and sizes, and have Krayt dragon traps that no real bases have.

All the dev bases I've seen are based on real players. If you pay close enough attention, then you know where the traps are when attacking the real base.

When prestige first came out, people had built their strix beacons, but not selected a creature for them yet, so the game had to choose one at random (which included krayt dragons).
You know you wanna be shady ;)

I've always thought our bases should be mirrored onto other planets. An old idea I've held onto from back in the CNFO Window days. Mirror the armory that is turned on, the SC contents, etc. except when your mirror lost, you don't lose any loot but the attacker gains it. Seemed an easy way to increase the attack pool by 5x … not that I don't like empty SC's and non-armory default developer bases as it is.... just saying the fact they lift our base designs could be taken one step further to cover for the diminished player pool.
