Sandtrooper wrote:I wrote my last post in two parts because the first was a reply to a specific conversation while the second was a message to everyone... Wasn't sure if it would be moved to another thread, but didn't expect it to be merged with my previous post. Any particular reason it was merged? My 3 posts in a row a few days ago weren't, so I'm a bit confused about the way this works.
Sandtrooper - you are talking about your post found here
As the ONLY Moderator
on this Forum it falls into my responsibilities to keep the Forum Organized. When multiple back-to-back posts are noted all on the same day, and with minutes / hours of each other I will often merge them into one Post and reflect that action by adding "Edit" to the "main / first" post as well as the "Reason for the Edit" when the revised post is submitted.
This action is done to partly prevent some Forum Members (not you) from making multiple single line posts in a effort to raise their Forum "Rank" and for other reasons.
Although I try to review most posts made, I don't catch all multiple back-to-back post, and in some cases I allow multiple back-to-back posts like when it has been 24 hours or more since last post.
IF EVERYONE would simply use the Edit Feature for their Posts it would help prevent multiple back-to-back posts and assist me by reducing the number of posts edits I need to do.
Anyone having a Forum Moderation Question is free to PM me at any time.I hope you understand better now... Thanks for being part of our Community.
