I have to think some of the purpose of the system is to compel one to break protection. There was a time where I was happy to sign-off or not play if I logged in and saw I had hours and hours of protection to go ... but now, if I have the chance to run the Event timer and advance 3 places in an evening, or start a longer clock (the 8 hour ones), I will break protection to get the quick Event points necessary and make myself exposed to attack again. If others find themselves doing the same, that's impactful and results in less developer bases being hit and puts more real players with real loot in play...

Why? Becauuse it’s a different system for earning them. 32 all the way up would be way too easy under this system.

Where did I get them? These are the numbers that are found in the game code and I know people who are currently upgrading the unit and can confirm them. The good news is that upgrading the unit itself takes no time in the research center. But of course you can only upgrade it if no other research is underway.

I'm just happy they are adding new features to the game. We've all had a good old moan about the armory, faction imbalance etc... so I'm just glad the Dev's are trying to adapt the game.

My level X account isn't so fussed for it... it's just a nice bonus. But it's been a mega bonus to my little base - I think sometimes people forget about the little guys - they need help as well haha!

No I dont like the EP system. I was among many who complained that constantly adding new units has ruined the game. If you are a brand new player, every new unit just adds to the mountain of troops you need to unlock and upgrade. If you have been in the game a long time, you get lots of new low level units that are pointless. The only winners, yes the ONLY winners, are the small number of players who grind away every day.

So it is something for the minority and therefore not useful to the majority. In my humble opinion.
